We thought it would be a good idea to start the holiday with a little run. 4 miles sounded about right since it was the 4th of July. It was a great morning for a run. It had rained the night before so it was actually cooler outside.
My legs were feeling quite sore and tight from the leg workout the day before, but the run helped to loosen them up. After running we got ready for the day and headed up to the East Millcreek parade. Val had a great time collecting the candy the people in the parade were throwing out.
Our yorkie Freddie needed a nap. He went out on the run with us that morning 🙂That night we went to the fireworks and ended our fun holiday. I love the 4th of July. It just feels like summer.
The downside to the evening was that my legs were getting very sore. It takes me about 24 hours before the full soreness sets in from a hard workout. I was hoping to sleep it off. That didn’t happen. Today is 3 after the workout and I’m still feeling it. Let’s hope I heal up before Monday!Happy Summer Everyone!!
