Ok, it’s super hard for me to run in the morning. But when this handsome boy is waiting for me, I know I have to get up.This is Sox. He belongs to my neighbors, but I like to steal him whenever I can. Sox is great on long runs. He keeps a 10 min/mile pace perfectly! He is also my security guard and listens to me babble about how much I hate running up hills :). My favorite thing about this cutie is that he looks big and tough, but he a sweet sensitive teddy bear. Thank you Mr. Sox for keeping me going on those days when I feel like giving up!
As for my weekly runs, I went out on a 6 mile run yesterday. It was great! Today, no running :(. Yesterday after my run I suddenly cam down with a major stomach bug. No fun! I’m hoping it will pass quickly and that I might be able to complete my long run tomorrow. I really hope so. My hubby bought me the Hunger Games to watch while on the treadmill. I was planning on running through the whole movie and making it a really really long run. I guess we’ll see.
Here’s a little strange tidbit about me and my running. I love to watch end of the world movies, action, anything fighting or chasing while I run on the treadmill. I know a lot of people hate treadmill running. But when I have a really good movie (or bad, I like really terrible ones too) to get me hyped, I love it! Ahhh, Hunger Games is going to be so perfect!! Come on stomach bug, get out of my system so I can pretend I’m being chased by tributes!
I know, the insanely nerdy bit of my personality just came out. I think I warned everyone about that in one of my posts. Ignore her, she tends to be quite crazy 🙂
Ger better Vickie!!! I can’t wait to watch the Hunger Games as well. Just wish I had a treadmill to run on while watching. :).
Thanks Haley! Feel free to borrow the movie or treadmill anytime!
